There's a local half marathon two weeks before, and it's cheap and I can sleep in my own bed, so I'm hoping to use that one as my long training run before I taper down. My original first marathon is the last weekend in September, and is with my best friend from high school. I have too many plans I think...I had had my heart set on using the Train Like a Mother: Finish it Half marathon plan, but it's a 15 week plan, and I had 12. My friend uses Hal Hidgon every time, and says it's never let her down. So I'm sort of using a combination of the two. I like the flexibility of the TLM plan, as it lists the "must get in no matter what" workout and the "it's ok if you have to skip this to get groceries or deal with a sick child" work out for the week and Hal's was the right length!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15415444867529055869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2800860881602258808.post-74330628047140609562012-07-20T08:57:48.444-04:002012-07-20T08:57:48.444-04:00Hey Jess! I have found that is easiest for me. <br /> I'm the same way, if I take more than a few days off, I have such a hard time getting back into it. Good luck!!From Ice Cream to Marathonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05911974408263254818noreply@blogger.com
